SUMMARY The Document Accessibility Specialist will convert and format documents to ensure accessibility to people with disabilities in compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.
1 AA) and company standards.
Qualification and Skill Requirements Solid analytical and problem solving skills Ability to retain in-house training Excellent computer skills.
Experience with Adobe Acrobat and CommonLook a plus Ability to maintain own work flow Strong attention to detail Ability to respond positively to challenging work and constructive criticism High-level of effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal HTML, JavaScript and bilingual experience is a plus but not required Ethical with a commitment to company values ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Analyze and ensure documents comply with WCAG 2.
1 AA standards Perform editing and quality control of documents Maintain department benchmarks (such as accuracy score and minutes per page) Meet deadlines Provide assistance to all other department(s) as necessary Available for overtime when needed Candidate MUST be able to pass the following in order to be considered:
An in-house computer assessment using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat A criminal and a client-issued background check A drug test Proof of US citizenship vs work authorization status This opportunity is for a full-time, Mon-Fri, 40 hour work week.
